‘Brick-and-mortar’ retailers struggle to keep their doors open while e-commerce continues to grow

Should you ever have the opportunity to meet with successful online earners, you will likely be struck by one thing — there is no typical profile. Some are still in high school, while others retired years ago. They come from all backgrounds, countries, races and religions. However, they all share one trait — they were all sick and tired of having to worry about paying their bills. Today they work less, and play more — lots more — without the worries.

For the U.S. market, the report said advertising investment in measured media grew 3.5 percent in 2012 to $152.4 billion, up from $147.2 billion the previous year.”

This is not brain surgery

The bottom line is this — if you have access to a home computer and the internet, and are of at least average intelligence, and you are not earning a part-time or full-time paycheck online, you are doing yourself and your family a disservice. In these times of employment uncertainty and economic difficulties, an online job is the ultimate “no-brainer.”

Affiliate marketing, once considered a part
of the Internet’s commercial underground, has emerged as a key aspect of many
e-commerce businesses.”

— Gary Stein, Analyst, Forrester Research

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again while expecting different results

For those of you with the best of intentions — but a debilitating tendency not to follow through — know this: should you ever lack the income to afford the better things for yourself and your loved ones, you will undoubtedly look back at all the missed opportunities with regret. If you are honestly committed to living a life that is free of day-to-day money worries, you need to act. Your situation will not change itself. Being a “could have been” is a terrible way to live. We wish you the greatest success, whatever path you choose.

The future of ecommerce looks bright. After topping $200 billion for the first time, online retail sales in the U.S. are forecast to reach $327 billion by 2016, a study from technology and market research firm Forrester says.”

Internet Job Scams

online job scams logo.

You’ve probably seen ads stating something to the effect of “98.7% of online jobs are scams”

This brings to mind the following line fromNapoleon Dynamite — “As if someone could even know that.” Kip was right. Far more likely is the case that many if not most are poorly-designed, low-profit programs with exaggerated results. There are unfortunately, some who would use opportunity to take advantage of those less fortunate and the unemployed.

“Is envelope stuffing a scam?”

“Envelope stuffing” has always been and continues to be a scam. Machines that automate this process have existed for decades. Both online and offline ‘pyramid schemes’ are scams. If the person who is selling you an online business program made their money selling online programs, that program may be a scam. Any job in which you must sell the same product that you purchased is probably a scam. Obviously, these types of work at home jobs were never considered for this site.

“Is MLM (multi-level marketing) a scam?”

While multi-level-marketing is not usually as scam, it can be. Many successful and perfectly legitimate companies effectively use the MLM model to create tremendous opportunities and rewards for their best salespeople. However, it is important to note that these organizations offer products and/or services of value to their customers. Be wary of MLM business models in which the product/service is of little to no value — these types of operations are often scams.

Legitimate MLM work at home jobs should never be confused with pyramid schemes — as such organizations or “clubs” require paying a large sum of money in exchange for a token object or in some cases only a promise to pay back exponentially larger sums to all who join. Should you ever have any doubts about whether or not an individual or organization engages in nefarious pyramid schemes and/or disreputable MLM practices, we would suggest that you contact your local Better Business Bureauthe Federal Trade Commission, and your city or state’s Consumer Affairs office.

“Can I really make money online?”

Online commerce continues to grow in size and scope. This growth presents an absolute wealth of opportunity for legitimate online marketers — as well as scammers. The current era will come to be regarded as something akin to the California Gold Rush. There are so many otherwise average people earning substantial incomes online in lieu of traditional employment options.

“How do I protect myself from scammers?”

The best defense against scammers is to purchase from a source recommended by someone you trust. Should that not be possible, you should buy based on the recommendation of the most trusted source you can find. At Top 5 Online Jobs, we’ve worked hard to be that source.
